Sapocaya – Baraúna (2025) (single)
Sapocaya is a group with Afro-Brazilian, jazz and Afro-Caribbean influences, with a modern sound that pays tribute to the traditional rhythms of Northeastern Brazil such as Baião, Forró, Maracatu, Afoxé rhythms and many others. Founded in 2023 by Jamayê Viveiros (trumpet) and Tristan Boulanger (percussion), the group shines by its freedom of expression. Their music is a playground where influences intersect and intertwine in a constant search for something new. It’s a music where melody and rhythm meet without barriers, where each musician finds his place in a collective harmony.
In short, Sapocaya is a group full of vitality, taking the pulse of Brazil’s past and present to offer free and colorful music. Some spicy jazz that calls for dancing!
