Cavalo55 returns with ‘A White Building’ which arrives off the back of debut single Hi’s&Lo’s and an extremely productive last couple of years in which he has played extensively with various bands around Portugal (his current home base), recorded and released a handful of live sessions (leading to his first radio plays), serving as an early showcase for his forthcoming debut EP set for release this Spring (2023), and work extensively on his first set of songs under his own moniker.
Cavalo55 is the musical project of very well-travelled Simone Carugati, a multi- instrumentalist, folk singer-songwriter.

Cavalo 55 – A White Building (2023) (ID)
A White Building:
When the music stops
the crowd fades away
the big stage that I’ve been dreamin’ of
was made of haze
The first time that I walked in
your tiny house
I never thought that we’d be together
such a long time
Bloomin’ as the wind
southern skies of white and blue
that day I truly thought
that I could be the one for you
and all your childhood stories
and the creatures in your head
that’s what I miss the most
of those tiny house days
but what got in the way
of our sweetest restless days
did we just overthink it
paranoia made us change
now this big white room
has no fantasies or clues
just a boring cabaret
of end October days
bloomin’ as the wind
southern skies of white and blue
that day I truly thought
that I could be the one for you
and all your childhood stories
and the creatures in your head
that’s what I miss the most
of those tiny house days
at first I was just another rider
but then you took it
somewhere higher
at first I was just another rider
but then you took it
somewhere higher
at first I was just another rider
but then you took it
somewhere higher
at first I was just another rider
but then you took it
somewhere higher
somewhere higher
somewhere higher
somewhere higher
bloomin’ as the wind
southern skies of white and blue
that day I truly thought
that I could be the one for you
now you can find me in a gutter
with these old country songs
I might as well sail the seas
with a hot jazz pirate band
