Valentina – The Wave (2025) (single) 

Emerging singer/songwriter Valentina is set to release her next single “The Wave” on 7 February 2025. The new single from her upcoming debut EP “One Way Ticket” offers a soothing yet powerful exploration of freedom, self-discovery, and the search for meaning.

“The Wave” takes listeners on a journey both inward and outward. The rising tide, crashing waves, and free spirit at the heart of the song express a desire for peace in the chaos and a reminder to enjoy the journey instead of focusing on the destination. 

With its acoustic guitar capturing the ebb and flow of ocean waves, airy harmonies, and Valentina’s mindful, meditative lyrics, “The Wave” offers an evocative sound that blends elements of indie, storytelling, and acoustic pop.

“The Wave” is perfect for reflective moments, whether you’re watching a sunrise, walking along the beach, or navigating life’s transitions. Its introspective tone and vivid sea imagery make it an ideal companion for quiet mornings, mindfulness and journaling, creative pursuits, long drives, or times of choice and self-discovery.

About “The Wave”, Valentina says:

“The Wave reflects a time in my life when everything felt uncertain. I travelled to a deserted beach in winter, and found myself lost in reflection, questioning past choices and the future. Suddenly, a wave crashed a bit louder, taking me back to the present moment. I looked up and the overwhelming beauty of the sea made me smile. I wrote this song to remind myself and others to take a deep breath, let things flow, and trust the process. We’re all in the same boat, navigating similar challenges in this amazing journey called life.”

The Wave was co-written with Mario Punzi (Cristiano De Andrè, Syria) and co-produced with Kaity Rae (Beth McCarthy, Natalie Shay, The Shires).

Live performance of “The Wave” already garnered tastemaker support on the Italian TV Show “The Coach,” (5m+ viewers) leaving a lasting impression on both the audience and the judges. 

The song’s mood is reflected in a music video directed by Nicola Chen, shot on a deserted winter beach, and set for release on 17/02.
